“Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”

I turn 38 years old today, and all I want more than anything is to say this to the Lord on repeat and loop!

I am blessed and thankful for having my faith, my family, my amazing friends, and my profession. I am glad to be in good health (recovery is in process) and stable enough to know I have a home full of love and happiness, neighbors with so much support, and animals who live in my heart forever.

Today when Jesus asks Peter on repeat, “Do you love me?” I feel I can hear those words every time I sit in silence or conflict and try to figure out what I want in life.

It makes me rethink all my life’s decisions and if I ever factor in the fact that my faith is supposed to lead my decisions and how I am answerable to God at judgement day.

I was a bit conflicted this week with a lot of unnecessary drama around me, and I realized the best way to deal with it is to walk away and reflect on my intentions and actions and figure out what I could have done better as a person of faith. So I did.

Today as I start a new calendar year in my life, I am just full of gratitude and love for everyone in my life, including all you wonderful humans who read what I post (with sheer honesty), and every time I hear “Do you love me?” and he says it to him as in today’s Gospel for St John Paul II—I want to shout out a resounding YES, LORD! with all my heart, soul, and vital capacity of my lungs!

Let us all remind ourselves to hear Jesus every time he asks. “Do you love me?” and shout to the Lord. Yes.”

And focus on loving Jesus every day of our lives!

P.s. Kindly keep me in your prayers on my birthday !

Amen
