‘The feast is ready.
But those who were invited were not worthy to come.
Go out, therefore, into the main roads
and invite to the feast whomever you find.

Whenever I make plans to visit a place, especially when I’m driving myself, I always check the Google reviews of the place—not for food or the menu but for the parking situation!

For the unaware, I live in India, a populated country with everyone having a personal car and poor public transportation or UBER, especially unsafe for women at night hours. I drive myself to most places, enabling me to have the autonomy to walk away with zero worry, especially if I’m uncomfortable.

Often it is never mentioned in the details of the location, and I will have to hunt the reviews for the same, making me rethink if I want to visit the said place or find any alternative carpool or a lift with someone traveling to the same location or UBER or just cancel plans.

Today the king’s parable is like an analogy to this—every detail is available and yet I am hesitant, checking in and stepping out when Im in stress and searching and seeking alternative methods of calm and peace. Last few weeks have made me question my faith – the need for it – the constant anxiety and stress took its toll on my physcial and mental health making me ponder over alot in my life at present. I was searching for alternate easy ways to UBER my stress off and try to calm my body and mind.

In the end it is HIM. Who provides solution to everything and when I watch myself relax as I pray and sleep better with least stress I know I am surrendering into Him the woes of my day and life!

Let us not let the King wait for us to attend his feast while we check reviews ( cause those are mindblowing) but rush and seek it with all our hearts and surrender ourselves to Him!

AMEN.
