Courage and Faith

My dear brothers and sisters,

Today’s Gospel reminds us that faith opens the door to God’s power. The woman suffering from hemorrhages believed that even touching Jesus’ cloak would heal her. Jesus responded, “Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you.” Her trust was rewarded with healing and restored dignity.

The synagogue official also believed that Jesus could bring life to his daughter, even after her death. While others laughed in disbelief, Jesus took the girl by the hand, and she arose. Where people saw an end, Jesus brought new life.

This Gospel invites us to bring our own fears, burdens, and impossible situations to the Lord with confidence. Faith does not remove every difficulty, but it keeps us close to the One who has power over sickness, suffering, and even death.

May we hear Jesus’ words addressed to each of us today: “Courage.” Let us trust Him more deeply, knowing that nothing is impossible for those who place their faith in Him.

Amen
