He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.

Happy new year to you the wonderful and beautiful person reading this!

While even Jesus got the context ( 2000 years BC) and wished us an acceptable year to the Lord !

I think I just found my motto for the new year ! — an acceptable year to the Lord.

While my Christmas and New year was away from family and friends buried in books, I did take some time out to cheer myself a new year and attend mass on both occasions and meet Jesus in the eucharist!

As I stepped onto the lift to my examination hall which is on the topmost floor of my hospital building , I was surrounded by an array of warriors – beating cancer at every stage! Walking slowly, some on wheelchair, with chemo ports or catheters or nasogastric tubes — yet determined to make everyday count !

It made me smile and humbled me that my exam was a minor fraction in this demand of life where all we wish is to be safe , healthy and happy! And when I called my parents — my mom said the same ” Let us be thankful we got to witness one more Christmas – safe and healthy!”

This year let us make it acceptable to the Lord ! A year of happiness in Lords commandments — very hard but I am determined to be a better christian and person! Small acts of kindness , catching myself when Im tempted to say something nasty or judge a person, be jealous or even act of omission .. I am a sinner and have zero right to preach what I barely manage practicing however , this year I realised I have been focussing on a lot of what I cannot control and had to deal with a very bad episode with my mental health and it affected my physical health! What saved me was daily prayer, exercise and family! and finding my purpose ! my faith and my work!!

This new year let us each unfold the plan for our life with God! While I have a gut feeling that its going to be an amazing year- I want to make it even better and have started listening to the Bible in a Year on the Ascencsion / Hallow app so I can learn more about the word and I won a single decade rosary at the local church for answering a question during the homily! It is a sign for me to rebuild my relationship with Mama MAry one rosary bead at a time!

Let us pick one goal to make this year an acceptable one to the Lord! Surrender our life to Him and make it known!

AMEN!!!!

(I am yet to complete my oral clinical examination and I know I am so blessed with your prayers! Thank you )

Have a great year ahead , I also hope to be more consistent with my posts!
