Hey Anonymous,

If you are still out there.

My point. I’m not sure God gives us second chances. When He says, “Prepare your account”, I think He means it.

God created us as thinking beings and it is left for us to reflect on what we see and hear.
Nothing is set in stone - reflect on what we have each been given and decide how you want to use it. selfishly? for the benefit of others? to secure your eternal future ( just like the dishonest servant tried to secure his own future) ? or lazily allow it to fritter away by doing nothing?
Pray, read scripture, go to mass, listen to the homily. Then take a stand.

Today’s message can be hard to swallow. I must take the time to examine myself. There are ways that I am a true follower of Christ, but I am also a sinner. Lord, help me open my mind and swallow my pride so that I can see what more I need to do to follow your will more completely.

I echo the remarks of everyone above. I love that you take each reading separately and bring light to it. In my case, I need way more light. Your explanations brought up more questions than answers.... but that is good. It keeps me searching and self examining. Thank you and God bless you all!

Hello Mark you end by sayi g a very difficult parable, so it is, but give yourself time and pray for understanding.
Also with your quote from Matthew 35.The "goats" are those who chose to put themselves there.
God gives everyone freedom of choice.
Whst you have said couldn't be further from the Truth.
Rather turn to Luje23:34 where Jesus prays to His Father to forgive them.
There were also 2 criminals crucified with Him. To the PENITENT one he said
"I tell you the TRUTH today you will be with me in Paradise. The other one wouldn't listen...
Jesus sacrificed himself on the Cross for YOUR SALVATION.
Put yourself with the Sheep, take heart and believe the Good News.

An African yourself, I appreciate the way you have positioned the corruption of some of our African leaders in your Reflection. How I wished they could get this exposition of the parable of the "Prudent Steward".
Fr. Lawrence, I welcome you into the group of Reflectors of A Catholic Moment. May the Good LORD embolden you, inspirit you to open up our minds to enable us live God-fearing lives
