I was hit by these words: “We cannot bend the message of the Gospel because of the personal views of our parents, our brothers and sisters and even friends.” I just left confession the other day because I didn’t take my daughters and I to Mass when we were away from home on a camping trip. I told my priest I didn’t want to inconvenience my non-practicing husband by taking them to Mass.
