It was necessary that he should be put to the test in order to become our leader like in Gethsemane. Jesus asks 3 times for the Father to take this cup from him. He had to give up the thought of a glorious political role as Messiah in favor of a Spiritual role in total obedience to God. Heb.12:2 Jesus disregarding the shame of the cross. Praise to our Father! Jesus was like US in all ways but sin😊

Surely Satan knew that Jesus was God and the world was already his. So why use that futile attempt at temptations? Puzzling to me, but maybe Satan, just doesn’t get it.
